When in edit mode, there are two ways to select a token for your character sheet! The walkthrough below demonstrates each option. Selecting A Token For Your Character Sheet Only the GM has the ability to see this space, so it can act as a safe space for notes that you don’t wish the other players to see (example below). They can keep track of any status effects, hidden agendas, your lines & veils, character backstory hooks, and more here. It’s a great place to keep campaign notes and thoughts. Any players with permission to see your sheet can see this space.
You can write to your heart’s content about your character here. After a GM has configured a Token on the tabletop to be controlled by your Character and has set any Vision & Light or token bar configuration settings, the selected token can be linked with the Character Sheet to keep those settings intact. Note: it will be what appears when dragged on the virtual tabletop if there is no default token. This image will show up in the Journal tab with your character sheet. Drag or upload the picture you’d like to use for your character. This is useful for GMs that have a lot of characters in a game, but entirely optional. The GM can tag character sheets to create an easier way to search for them in the journal (such as “NPCs” or “BBEG”). If you are unable to make a session and wish for another party member to control your character, you can ask the GM to assign Edit & Control to someone else as well. The player who owns this character will be listed here. Players with permission to see a sheet are able to look at it, but are unable to edit unless they also have Edit & Control permissions. The GM can allow all, some, or none of the players to be able to see the Character Sheet. Once your character sheet is created and you are assigned Edit & Control permission, you can now edit your sheet! Select your sheet, click the Edit button at the top Edit & Control capability is only able to be assigned to those that have joined the game already, so the GM has to wait for players to join before assigning them character sheets to work with. Before you can access the character to go through character creation (and to change the name), ask your GM to assign you permissions. This will generate a sheet with an auto-generated name that will become your character. To begin, your GM will need to Add a Character in the Journal tab.
